What it is
Beta alanine is a clean and simple amino acid that will increase and support muscular endurance during short to mid-range, high intensity training. It will help combat the burning sensation and fatigue you often feel in the muscle from lactic acid build-up and help you squeeze out a few extra reps or a few more meters from your short interval sprints.
What it does
Beta alanine is a modified version of the amino acid Alanine. It can be made in the liver, found in the food we eat, or supplemented in our diets. From the liver, it is then transported to the muscle cells through the blood. There, it is combined with the amino acid Histidine to create Carnosine. Carnosine buffers lactic acid build-up, which is common during high intensity training, and helps slow down the onset of fatigue.
Increase power output when doing high intensity interval training
Improves work capacity and sprint performance
Increases the volume of training (number of reps), an athlete is capable of achieving during strength training
Extends time to exhaustion when training at high intensity for short bouts (up to 5 mins)
When to take
Take one scoop, twice daily (morning and evening). Research shows that supplementing the diet with an additional 6g/day of BETA-Alanine increases muscle carnosine levels resulting in an increase in muscular endurance from acid buffering.
